Unused module in the machine
Hi All,
I have removed the Guardium's DB security software, but when i do a kcmodule i still find the module.

ktap unused loadable, unloadable
I tried rebooting but invain
The OS is 11v3
Is there any way i can remove this module.

Re: Unused module in the machine
Hi,
There is no option available in kcmodule command to uninstall or remove a module.
To stop using a module when the system reboots:
$ kcmodule -h module=unused
Note: "unused" means the module is not used in any way.
To check the present/capable states of a module:
$ kcmodule -v module
>> kcmodule | grep ktap
>> ktap unused loadable, unloadable
From the above output, it appears that the "ktap" module can be switched between these 3 states "unused, loadable and unloadable".
You can verify the possible states for ktap, using
# kcmodule -v ktap
Regards,
Pradeep

It appears they removed the =uninstall option in 11.31.
