Hello
I plan to update some hpux old servers ( both pa-risc and itanium ) . They can be hosted from 9000/800/SD32A to rx2660 or bl840 .
Do the install process goldbase and goldapps bundles still accurate ?
Are there spécific ways to update on a superdome ?
What's about firmware updates ?
Thank you for your answers

Re: update hpux servers
Hi diou-biban,
I have little doubt on your query.
1) Are you trying to update the HP-UX OS to latest version B.11.31 ?
2) Are you willing to upgrade the firmware of the servers ?
3) Both server firmware and hp-UX OS need to updated to latest one ?
Please provide the details such as Server model with current firmware version, HP-UX version and what you want to update (System firmware / HP-UX OS).
Regards,
Shiva_jr

SolutionIf all you want is to install the latest patches for the Operating System, a good place to start are the official HP-UX patch bundles. HWE (Hardware Enablement) and QPK (Quality Pack) standard patch bundles. More info here:
https://support.hpe.com/help/en/Content/productSupport/patch/patchingHpuxHelp.html
What they don't tell you is that unless you have an active support contract, they will give you the middle finger when trying to access patches for your HP-UX systems that you have bought from HP.
