Re: Update o/s with current HP model files--where is the best resource?
Also
NOTE: Certain Model Script files are shipped with HP Jetadmin software. These files can be found with the HP Jetadmin software or downloaded with the HP Jetadmin software (see the HP contact information below). For printers under HP-UX, Sun Solaris, and Sun OS that are connected with HP Jetdirect, see the HP contact information below.
Printers that are connected parallel cannot use HP Jetadmin or Model Scripts. Call a UNIX vendor.

Re: Update o/s with current HP model files--where is the best resource?
look at this page:
http://productfinder.support.hp.com/tps/ProductFinder?h_tool=prodhomes%2Csoftware&h_query=laserjet+4100
I got this by entering "hplaserjet4100" in the search box at the top of the page. If you click the "drivers and downloads" link, you get a page of links for drivers for various PC platforms. No mention of HP-UX.
hit back and click the next link. In the "ask a question box" enter "hp-ux". On the second page is this link:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpl03772.html
which gives the end-of-life matrix for hp printers. Check to see where your printers are on this list.
Don't bother with the rest of the hits in that list, it's going to be all windows stuff.
Then, go here:
http://www.hp.com/pond/modelscripts/
and get the scripts that apply to your printers. I'm not sure how up-to-date they are, or not.

Re: Update o/s with current HP model files--where is the best resource?
Thanks for the updated info. My HP Software Tech is looking as well, and I will pull together my options at that time. I appreciate the help. Terri Christensen.
