upgrade from 0609 to 0712

Hi!

I there a way to upgrade HP UX 11.23 IA64 0609 into 0712 not to install it from new installation media DVD 0712 :)

I mean is there a bundle which can upgrade OS into 0712 ?

btw: i cannot find Integrity Virtual Machines 3.0 to download only (1.2, 2 and 3.5). Anyone?

0712 can be installed with the December 2007 bi-annual patch set.

It is the equivalent of a cold install.

I guess you want to upgrade in order to install HPVM 3.5, right?

The upgrade will not only patch the system but it will upgrade the core OS and all the drivers too.

You need to read it! swinstall "update-ux" from the install media and run it - this will guide you.

Make a backup!

Yes i understand you Torsten ...but i don't have latest 0712 DVDROM media...so i guess i cannot update it?

I thought if i can apply the patch from HP-UX support page and just upgrade the core OS to 0712 :) Is that possible?

download it(recommend ftp script)
create depot
swinstall it (boot required)

Then you will be in the promised land.
