Upgrade from Bind 8.1.2 to 9.3.2

Hi. Is it possible to upgrade from Bind 8.1.2 to 9.3.2?

I understand that if upgrade to 9.2.0, it will required a database format conversion. Is this required for 9.3.2?

Thanks~

Shalom,

Yes the zone records will have to be upgraded.

It is however worth the bother and there are tools/scripts to help.

BIND 9.x is troublesome, BIND 8.x is simply to dangerous to use these days.

Thanks for the replies.

But from the installation steps for bind 9.3.2, it did not say anything about database format conversion? Seem to be a straight forward upgrade with no reboot at all?
