Upgrade Secure_Shell to version A.05.00.025

dear hpux gurus,
would like to seek your advice.
we would like to upgrade our current secure_shell from secure_shell version A.04.40.007 to A.05.00.025. if the server is running on production, can it be done on the fly without shuting down the system and without going to single user mode? what is the impact of upgrading if there are active users conneting via ssh. hope to hear from you. thank you.

In the past, I take the secure shell depot from HP, install it while users are running, no reboot.

It always worked fine, swinstall did not disrupt anything.

I have on occasion introduced buggy code by doing that so beware of that possible outcome.

Hi,

You can do it on the fly but it is not advisable on production systems specially when users are logged in.

Suggest you to take downtime from users in order to avoid any user login outage.
