Upgrade sendmail 8.9.3 to 8.13.3

Hi,

We want to upgrade sendmail from 8.9.3 to 8.13.3.

Anything to worry about?

We have hp-ux 11.11

Nothing really to worry about. Preserve your configuration files in case there is an incompatability.

As a precaution back up /etc/mail and sendmail.cf

If you are using .mc macro files, you may need to check and see if any of your statements fail to work. I am aware of nothing but improvement in this release of sendmail.

I dont think there will be any issue.

HP-UX 11.11 comes with sendmail version 8.9.3.1.
HP-UX 11.00 and 10.20 come with sendmail version 8.7.1.1.

Use what command to determine what version of sendmail is installed:

#what /usr/sbin/sendmail | grep version
/usr/sbin/sendmail:

Thanks for the replies. I had no problems upgrading sendmail.
