Upgrade Sendmail from 8.9.3 to 8.13 on HPUX v 11.00

Hi,
I need to upgrade our version of sendmail from 8.9.3 to 8.13 but my Operative system is HPUX v 11.00, could any of you tell if this is possible with this version? could I use upgrade and patch for OS version 11.11?

The sendmail version for 11.11 might work on 11.00 if its a PA 1.1 application and not a PA 2.0 application. If its 2.0 It won't work at all.

You have the option of downloading the source from http://www.sendmail.org and compiling sendmail.

If you re-installed your system cold to 11.11, the Sendmail HP provides at http://software.hp.com will be installable and will work.

Sendmail 8.11.1 Version 9 (B.11.00.01.010) released in December 2006, is the latest version of HP's mail routing facility that is shipped with the HP-UX 11.0 operating system as a Web upgrade. This Web upgrade requires the libc patch PHCO_22076 or a superseding patch.

Hi Angelica,

Sendmail v.8.13 for HP-UX 11iv1 & 11iv2, so it's not possible for your HP-UX v.11.0. You need to upgrade your system into HP-UX 11iv1 (at least) to have sendmail v.8.13.

The other way around is by using the latest version of sendmail v.8.11, which is suitable for HP-UX v.11.0.
