upgrade the OS version

How to upgrade the OS version. say from 11.23 to 11.31.

Can anyone please tell me the steps, what we need to perform for that.

you should refer to the document: "HP-UX 11i v3 Installation and Update Guide , , depending" on which release you own.

What is your exact release for 11.31? I mean, which month/year.

This one is for Feb 2007, the initial release, so you need to find the correct for your realease.

Do you have any dvd's or you want to upgrade from the depot on the server?

i have the DVD, my 11.23 release date is June 2008.

ok, what do you want to upgrade from? Did you get any DVD's with 11.31 release / do you have any depot on the server to make a network update?

You need to find the release date of your 'destination' OS (11.31) and then find all the informations in the "HP-UX 11iv3 Installation and update guide " , got it?
