Hi all,
I appreciate this is a HP forum but wondered if anyone had seen this before. I have upgraded a server from 11.00 to 11.11. I have installed solutions enabler emc software. Syminq, symrdf are working fine but symdg list is showing no device groups. Any advice would be appreciated.
The server is connected to an EMC symmetrix.
Cheers

Re: Upgraded to 11i symdg list showing no dev groups
Shalom,
upgrade-ux can not upgrade EMC software and devices correctly.
You are going to have to install the EMC software provided by EMC from scratch.

Re: Upgraded to 11i symdg list showing no dev groups
I did a clean install of both OS and EMC software I have had to manually import the device groups which has been painful. I wondered in the future if I could capture this config somewhere. Is there an emc config file?

Solution
"symdg export" might be the command you're looking for. It produces a text file which you can use as a backup of the configuration: you can later import it with "symdg import".
So this is one more thing to do *before* an OS upgrade.
