UPS /dev/tty1p0 interrupted but read of ups status failed
Have just installed the UPS manager and connected the UPS.
My syslog.sys file is filled with the current msg's at the same time as my consol is scrolling full of the same message.
Mar 28 12:56:45 njord /usr/lbin/ups_mond[6566]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond: AC Power to all recognized, system critical UPS's OK! System will not shutdown.
Mar 28 12:56:45 njord above message repeats 18467109 times

Since you just installed the messaging you saw may just be part of the recognition process.
There also cold have been a momentary power disruption to the UPS that was not long enough to trigger a shutdown.

nice thought but unfortunately its been scrolling over the consol-screen for the last 5 hours.. the same message all the time.
Therefor I think its something to do with either communication with the ups_mond or so..?
