UPS Problem In HPUX 11
Hi all,
I have a problem with my UPS.
Everytime I did the test by turn off the power on the wall. My UPS Daemon will show:
syslog.log:Mar 16 10:36:20 COAAUW13 /usr/lbin/ups_mond[1441]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond
: UPS Monitor daemon starting; using configuration file /etc/ups_conf
syslog.log:Mar 16 10:36:23 COAAUW13 /usr/lbin/ups_mond[1441]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond
: UPS /dev/tty0p1 read failed: File exists; Uninterruptable Power Supply has not
been connected correctly; loss of power would not be detectible
syslog.log:Mar 16 10:36:29 COAAUW13 /usr/lbin/ups_mond[1441]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond
: UPS /dev/tty0p1 read of status failed: File exists
syslog.log:Mar 16 10:36:33 COAAUW13 /usr/lbin/ups_mond[1441]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond
: UPS /dev/tty0p1 interrupted but read of ups status failed - possible UPS hardw
are problem
The cable between UPS and Unix is checked.
UPS Daemon has turned up.
UPS Shutdown is activate.
more ups_conf
shutdown_delay_mins:5
shutdown_timeout_mins:10
upstty:/dev/tty0p1
What else I haven't done?

Re: UPS Problem In HPUX 11
Looks like system can communicate with UPS correctly. Can you see device on the UPS device?? (on /dev/tty0p1?)
There is no substitute to HARDWORK
