Urgent : Maximum depth of a Hash

What could be the maximum depth of a hash ?
If a hash is overloaded, will it throw a core ?

In our scenarion, We feel it was failing at 27Lakh records ?

Any guess ?

depends on resources available on your machine
(I am assuming you are using perl).
