User Authorisation using ovw.auth file

1. In the Network Presenter, I'm able to restrict access at the machine level, but not at the user or application level, using the ovw.auth file, even though the documentation says that it is possible- has anybody tried this and been successful??

2. Is this authorisation valid for web-based applications????
