Re: User login problem in CDE

Can you log in as root and check the user's home directory?

If so, does he have a .Xauthority file? Have a look at the errorlog in his .dt directory (hanging off his home directory).

Re: User login problem in CDE

Check following files for errors.

$HOME/.dt/errorlog
$HOME/.dt/startlog
/var/dt/Xerrors
syslog.log
dr_dt command to check.

Re: User login problem in CDE

Hi Qayyum,

It seems there is no space available in the users home directory or u running out of space in the /tmp.

Please clear some files and then login.

All the best

Re: User login problem in CDE

Hi Abdul ,

You can run dr_dt.
# cd /usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt

It will examine your system to determine if HP CDE can function properly. If It find problems or concerns, or just want
to supply some information, It will issue INFO/WARNING/ERROR statements.
It will not make any changes itself, but might suggest that you need to change something.

Cheers,
Raj.
