user login restrictions

I would like to be able to restrict user accounts
to certain terminals like root and the /etc/securetty. Is this possible? I am using HPUX-11.

Hi Ernest,

Its quiet possible. I am attaching a securetty file.It of my server. you can use the same it should work.

If you want to disable the services like telnet/ftp particular to certain terminals you can go for /var/adm/inetd.sec.

see man page of inetd.sec

Better yet - disable telnet all together and go with ssh:

Thanks to all. Nguyen, we will try Steven's solution for users other than root logging onto the system. We use ssh but must use a different login to access the system and access the application.
