Usermin----have anyone used?

Hi All,

I am trying to use 'usermin', I have installed the latest ver. of usermin 1.040.
I can open the browser page by < ip add>:20000,
but I cannot login to the server, by any user( root or any).

Any help??

Thanks in advance,
Richard

Re: Usermin----have anyone used?

Looks like there's a lot of possible reasons why youmight be getting this. Have you checked out the faq?

Re: Usermin----have anyone used?

Hi All,

I have tried with all sources( webmin.com, faq's), but still unable to work this out, cannot login to my usermin server. I can login to webmin and do as per docs.

Now, what I am facing, my webmin server can not recognise WU-FTP server, it says like below:

"The FTP server /usr/contrib/wuftpd/usr/lbin/ftpd does not appear to be WU-FTPd. Maybe you are using an older FTPd provided with your operating system, or your FTP Server module configuration is in correct. The output from the FTP server was :

220 newweb.bttb.net FTP server (Revision 1.003 Version wuftpd-2.6.1 Thu Aug 7 07:01:04 GMT 2003) ready.
221 Goodbye."

Although my wu-ftp server is running fine from cmd-linr or other ftp-client s/w.
Can you tell me why webmin can't locate the wu-ftp ver. of ftp?

Thanks a lot for your reply..

Richard
