Using message class and fields

I need to send a message from Unix to Exchange which must include a MessageClass and MessageFields.
These are standard properties of the MAPI object provided by the CDO.dd in the Windows environment, but I will be sending a mail from a UNIX server to a Windows application which needs to pick out the MessageClass and any MessageFields.

Does anyone know how to do this?
