I have several HPUX 11.23 hosts where I need to upgrade the driver version on my HBAs.
My support supplied me the Sep 10 driver code that I was able to download onto one host.(as a depot)
The driver version applied to my HBAs is Sep 05 and Im upgrading to Sep 2010.
I ran swinstall and it recognized the software (and it also shows the patch requirements which are already installed).
Once I install ( swinstall) the proper FC version for my model of HBA i have, what if any other steps, do i need to perform to actually apply this version to the HBA...?

Re: v11.23 - Upgrading an HBA driver
The appropriate driver should be installed onto the card the next time the server reboots.
However, depending on the server type PA-RISC vs. Itanium, and the driver, you may need to update some firmware on the fibre card from the EFI an Itanium server.
What model fibre card do you have and what model server?

SolutionYour particular card requires the FibrChanl-01 driver.
If you want the latest driver for this card, it is available here:
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=FibrChanl-01
For 11iv2/11.23 the latest driver is from May 2012.
Documentation for these cards is available at:
FibrChanl-01 README:
