VCS and MCSG coexist?
I just want to verify if Veritas Cluster Software can be installed in a system with MCSG? Can they co-exist?
Thanks,

Re: VCS and MCSG coexist?
Can they be installed on the same box?
Yes.
Can you run the two products side by side? That may be problematic, depending on the actual technology and needs of each product. They may need exclusive control of some resource or port that only one can have.
I'd want to test this combination before making a plan to deploy it.
It would seem that both products perform the same function and it might be easier to try and use one or the other.

Re: VCS and MCSG coexist?
But ignoring that issue - why on earth would you WANT to do this?

Re: VCS and MCSG coexist?
Thanks for you reply. We want to migrate from MCSG to VCS. So, we are thinking of migrating the package one at a time until all have been migrated to VCS.
thanks,
