I have seen that VxVm won't come up with out rootdg.
1. What all are the contecnts of rootdg?
(I believe all configuration information for aare stored in the private region of disks in the disk group.)
2. is it possible to import a dg into two different machine at the same time under any condition?? If yes..pls explain the scenario.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
1. rootdg is the first disk group to be configuered before using Veritas volume manager. in HP unix it nothing to do with root file system and all.
2. It's not possible to import same disk group on 2 nodes a the same time except you are using CVM (Clustered voulme manager). It is used with Oracle RAC so same disk group should be available on both nodes. in normal situation it's not possible.
