Veritas Volume Manager

Being new to Veritas Volume Manager, I have just brought up my Veritas GUI on a 11.11 server and see my disk as I would expect.

Is there a step by step procedure somewhere to follow for creating a VolumeGroup, Logical Volumes, and File Systems ??

Re: Veritas Volume Manager

If you've already got your rootdg set-up, then you're all set. VEA Gui is Windows Exploder Object-Oriented type.. right-clicks on any highlighted object or objects will present you with a menu of available options.

Note that VEA is usefull as well to get you started on CLI (command line) VxVM as all GUI tasks have a corresponding transcript in the tasks tab towards the bottom. BIG SECRET to MASTERING VxVM Command Line. LVM Users -- thorugh this, you will know how easy VxVM command line is...
