Re: vglock..

If the cluster lock disc has not been activated before on this cluster, you need to activate the cluster lock vg BEFORE doing a cmapplyconf. This backs up the CL information so that it can be recovered if the disc is replaced and a vgcfgrestore is done.
If the cl disk has already been marked in the past, then ther eis no real need to do it, but it is something I recommend gets done anyway, just to make sure.

Re: vglock..

You have to activate the lock VG before doing a cmapplyconf. You should be able to do this using the command vgchange -a y VGLOCKNAME. This is so that the lock VG is marked as such...if it has already been marked then there is no need to do this.

Re: vglock..

It will not let you to do it by mistake. cmapplyconf (cmcheckconf) is going to give out the error if you do not activate the CLUSTER_LOG_VG

Re: vglock..

Yes, you need to do so.

The cluster-lock structure is normally installed by activating the
cluster-lock VG, then performing cmcheckconf/cmapplyconf pair.

The cluster-lock cannot be reinitialized while the cluster is running however. The cluster must be brought down, the cluster-lock volume group activated, and then cmapplyconf should be executed. If the cluster-lock VG was
already clustered, it must be unclustered before attempting to activate it:

# vgchange -c n /dev/
