vgreduce in a disk "unavailable"

Hi,

I've one disk in status "unavailable" in a active VG with the LV's mounted.

Any LV use this disk, no data in this disk.

Is possible to do a vgreduce to this disk without umount any LV??

Best regards

Could you provide a pvdisplay(1M) report on the unavailable PV:

# pvdisplay -v /dev/dsk/c?t?d?

~thanks

Re: vgreduce in a disk "unavailable"

vgreduce doesn't "delete" data - it just removes the info that the disk is in a vg.

vgreduce -f

that will remove a disk that is no longer on the system from a vg.
