vi hangs when edit a file and save it on an NFS filesystem exported from a SUN ZFS NFS serv

Hi There,

vi always hangs when I edit a file and save it on an NFS filesystem exported from a SUN ZFS NFS server on HPUX 11.23 IA64 machine. It does not happen on PHUZ 11.31 IA64 machine. It does not happen on local filesystem either.

I have installed the latest standard QPK. It did not help.

Can anyone share some info on this issue? Does any one know if there are HPUX 11.23 patches for this?

Select 11.23 and type in nfs, review and see if you have the latest cumulative.

Hi people may be interested in this,

This is problem on HPUX 11.23 side. 11.31 fixed this problem. Unfortunately HP does not have a fix on 11.23. The work around is to use NFS v2 when mount the ZFS shared filesystem.
