Re: Viewing/Changin MP Credentials through HP-UX
In an emergency, you can connect a serial console to the system via a cable in the back. You can connect and then ctrl-b to get on the MP device and then change credentials according to the menu.
In place password protection will still need to be dealt with.

Re: Viewing/Changin MP Credentials through HP-UX
I don't think so its possible to change or view MP login credentials over HP-UX. Connect serial cable to your machine or access it through MP IP and follow the procedure to change the MP credentials.
Login with
MP login: Admin
MP password: *****
[testserver2] MP:CM>SA : Set MP Access
[testserver2] MP:CM>SO : Security Options
[testserver2] MP:CM>UC : User Configuration
For your case
[testserver2] MP:CM> UC
This command allows you to modify the user configuration.
User Configuration Menu:
L - List current users
N - Add a New user
C - Change a current user
D - Delete a current user
Enter menu item or [Q] to Quit:C
and change the password using the "P" key.

Re: Viewing/Changin MP Credentials through HP-UX
HP-UX doesn't have a option to change MP settings.
You have to connect the server using the console port through a remote device or after configuring the MP lan connection.

Re: Viewing/Changin MP Credentials through HP-UX
See "Accessing Guardian Service Processor Internal Port" from this guide - http://docs.hp.com/en/3687/rp7400_customer_hardwaremanual.pdf
In new firmware releases this is disabled.

Re: Viewing/Changin MP Credentials through HP-UX
You can reset the MP settings to factory defaults by pressing th MP reset button on the CORE I/O board for more than 4 seconds. Pressing it for less than that time does a soft reset which reboots the MP but doesn't reset any of the settings.
You will need to reset all the settings including your IP addresses on the MP.
