Vim 7.2 - Problems
Hi,
We've upgraded some of our servers to 11.31. The DBA's have asked for access to VIM 7.2
This is Open Source software and (I think) HP don't support it although it is OK to install it. I have installed a pre-complied version from :
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Editors/vim-7.2/
I can see it when I run swlist as an installed compenent but there must be something wrong as the vim executable doesn't exist in /usr/local !!
Also, there are lots of runtime dependencies for this s/w. How do I check if I have the dependencies; how do I install the depencdencies if I dont have them, and where do I get them from ?
Your help would be most grateful.
Thanks
Derek

Re: Vim 7.2 - Problems
Shalom,
swinstall -s /full_path/vi.depot \*
Use the actual name of the depot.
Check the swinstall logs for errors.
You need to download every build and run time depot and swinstall each and every one of them before this product will work right.
