vmunix and glance question
In my hp rx4640 (11.23 OS), everytime when I check syslog.log, I find the following line:
vmunix: can't allocate message buffer
Is it nornal? What is it?
BTW, I install Glance in my server. It is the first time but when I run glance, it says it is expired. Could you tell me how come?
Thanks

Re: vmunix and glance question
Please check your kernel parameters and check the outputs of sar -v and sar -b outputs

Re: vmunix and glance question
How many messages do you see? How often?
The cause of the error "can't allocate message buffer" may be that you are running something that requires large memory message segments. Check the setting of the kernel parameter "msgmax" and increase if if needed. Usually oracle and ERP apps have this requirement.
You have to adjust other message related parameters as well.

Did you get this message as soon as you installed glance? You have 30 days to run glance free before you get this error.
