Volume group damaged

The vg02 is damaged which contains /usr partition. The system is a test server without a nightly backup. Is there a way to recover the vg02 from the physical disk headers? If so, what are the steps?

Thanks in advance,
dc

Re: Volume group damaged

David,

You could try moving /etc/lvmtab to lvmtab.old and using vgscan to rebuild the volume group. I had to do this one time, but I forget what command line options I used. It may have been "vgscan -ug" but I am really not sure.
