I just wanted to know most of the large hpux environment around the globe uses what kind of volume manager on hpux 11i ?

Solutionnot sure exactly what the global user us for VM, but there are LVM and vxvm.
i would think most would still be sticking with LVM since vxvm on 11i is still relatively new (which people has tendency not to change) and also has some issues with some EMC storage.

Most of the large hpux environment around the globe uses LVM. There are few users of VXVM (Veritas Volume Manager)

LVM is the most popular.
As for Veritas, it has recently been acquired by symantec... we'll have to wait and see what happens to VXVM
