volumes not getting unmounted

Hi all,
One Volume group lost the quorum.
Only 3 out of 8 PVs are available.
Now I want to export this VG.
There were 4 LVs and were mounted too.
I am not able to unmount any of these filesystems.While trying it is giving I/O error.
Diskinfo is responding properly.
How can I export this VG ?
Any syggetuions would be highly appreciable.

The file system you are trying to unmount is on the PV(s) that is unavailable right now ?

If yes, I am afraid there is not much you can do except by rebooting the system

1) Reboot the system
2) When the system is back online, you need not have to deactive the volume group since the quorum is not met in the first place and it wont be activated at bootup.
3) vgexport the volume group.
