VOT: T-Shirts

Does anybody know if there are HP9000 T-shirts available? With every new IBM, or DEC/Compaq machine we receive a T-shirt, and though I love to wear these to HP gatherings, I'd also like to show-off with HP9000 T-shirt when (if) I go to IBM or Compaq^WHP gatherings.
Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Hi Procura,

Perhaps it's better a hat than a T-shirt and you already have a virtual hat, you only need the real hat:-)

Justo.

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Clemens, I was shocked with this homepage :]

Windows Certified! Yuck!

I'd like to see "Best viewed on HP-UX" and "Perl inside"

BTW I'll wear *any* free T-Shirt, as long as it's not to rude.

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

When they first came out with the A500's about a year and a half ago or so, they had tshirts with the little 'pirahna' on it eating a sun...

It was pretty funny. They packaged the shirt in a vaccum pack to make it the shape of a fish. When you opened it up, the shirt was really wrinkled, and it was a medium tshirt. I gave it to my wife. (I have not been able to wear a medium since I was 15...)

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Richard, thanks, but these are commercial goodies. I don't want to wear a shirt/polo about how HP sponsors horse races and such.

I was looking for what John is probably refering to: T-Shirts that come with a specific server. We do have an A500, but did not get a T-Shirt.

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Hi,

the only T-shirts I've got from HP are about (and from) "HP OpenView" and "HP Education" (and an HP towel, much better than the T-shirts ;-)

Nothing about computer models, though (hey, I would like to have one like "HP-UX on 9000/[123]00 ruled")

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

If you look around on ebay you can find some really nice ones. HP -invent and so on. Like so

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2020750491

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2022426174

Once you filter though the junk you can find some nices ones.

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Hi,

If you are going to spend some dollars
with HP (usually a lot) you can get
whatever marketing things you wish.

cups, pens, umbrellas, shirts. I've
even found a rep who loves fishing
trips..... Just have to be in the right
place at the right time.....

Cheers
~Michael~

PS: I've never seen a HP hat....

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

HI

What about a forum T Shirt?

Would anyone want one?

Would you pay for it?

What to be printed on it?

Ideas?

Paula

If you think that on May 5th was the 2th birthday of the forum ( hated version V 2.0 ), the T-shirts with forum logo.... are mandatory for 3000 first forumers...

dont you think so?

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Texts like "thread closed" don't help very much do they ?:-))

Paula, Yes, I'd wear one, I'd buy one (provided I like the print and it's not tooo expensive, and same price for US and Europe users - in Euro). Of course there should be hats on there

What about the front print of the HP 9000 Enterprice Servers pricelist (here it's purple) with the Super Dome, the rp8400-, the rp7400-, the rp5400-, the rx4610-, and the rp2400 series in a circle with the Forum hats next to these (dome = salad hat, rp8400 = pharaoh, rp7400 = king, rp5400 = wizard, rx4600 = graduate, and rp2400 = pro)

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

When I won 'Forum All-Star' in January 2000, I received an ITRC Tshirt, ITRC mousepad, and ITRC Pen along with the HP digital camera.

Sadly, the shirt suffered a casualty while painting a room and was discarded. The items I received are still around, but I wish I would have done better with the Tshirt. It was white with a Black/Red ITRC logo where the left front pocket would go.

If HP ITRC would create a new one, I would prefer using the current web page colors and logos.

... and yes, I would pay for it.

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

HP also handed out a few thousand HP9000 and HP3000 T-Shirts at HP World '97 conference in Chicago... they are out there , now if only you could find 'em on e-bay ...

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

I think we should get T-Shirts when we reach the magical figure of 39 forum points ;-)
Yep I'd pay as long as they are OK & not 50 times the price they are in the U.S!!

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

Procura, I'll see if I can find someone in the 9000 group that can answer your question...and perhaps point you to a proper shirt.

Regarding ITRC shirts, I'm hearing users are willing to offset the cost (the reason we don't have them now!). True? If so, I could do some leg work to figure out if and how we could offer some.

Dan

Re: VOT: T-Shirts

How about this?

Many people have access to colour printers and the iron-on transfer sheets. Publish Forum T-shirt images on the site, let people download and print the ones they want. They can then make their own shirts.

Then, nobody has to pay for postage, and it saves worrying if one size really does fit all.
