Re: VPAR an rx7640
This document will help you for 11iv3 :
- vPars administration documents for HP-UX 11i v3 A.05.05 Version.
HP-UX Virtual Partitions Administrator's Guide (includes A.05.05)
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02029116/c02029116.pdf (BSC link updated by admin)
You can start from: Page:47:
-Planning Your System for Virtual Partitions:
If you have VSE-OE or DCOE hp-ux 11iv3 you will have vpar bundled on it.
Cheers,
Raj.

Re: VPAR an rx7640
vPars A.05.05 --Supports: HP-UX 11i v3 (11.31) March 2009 Update or later.
If you have OE of prior to March 2009 DCOE version , you would have vpar A.05.03 ,
To check if vpar installed on your system or not:
#swlist -l bundle | grep -i T1335DC
To see what hp-ux OE you have:
# swlist -l bundle | grep HPUX11 | grep OE
-If vpar is not installed , you have to install using the DCOE install Media. Look for bundle T1335DC (vpar).
- HP-UX 11i v3 vPars software is distributed via the Virtual Server OE (VSE-OE) and the DataCenter OE (DC-OE). To install vPars, select the optional software bundle for HP-UX 11i v3 vPars(T1335DC) prior to installing or updating HP-UX.
The vPars software for HP-UX 11i v3 is delivered in the following ways:
â ¢ As a stand-alone product on the HP-UX 11i v3 Application Software DVD.
â ¢ As a product included in the HP-UX 11i v3 Virtual Server OE.
â ¢ As a product included in the HP-UX 11i v3 Data Center OE.
Cheers,
Raj.
