Hi guys ... I've this vpar that crashed, when I try to bring it up, I get below errors on console output ... then the vpar stays in "Boot" state.
1/0/8/1/0/4/0: Fibre Channel Driver has received an unexpected error status code from Firmware in response to a Mailbox Command.
The Mailbox Command code is: 0x0002
Contents of Mailbox Out-Register[0] is: 0x4010
Contents of Mailbox Out-Register[1] is: 0x0000
----
Server is an Integrity RX7640, I've two more vpars and they're up.
For hole console output please see attached file.
----
Thanks all for help&time.

Re: vpar crashed - Fibre Channel Driver has received an unexpected error status code from Firmware
We removed hw path 1.0.8 from vpar and now it's coming up.
vparmodify -p vp4_vparname -d io:1.0.8
Now we'll try to see if this is firmware related or driver maybe? Some1 has some input on this?
Thanks!

Re: vpar crashed - Fibre Channel Driver has received an unexpected error status code from Firmware
You should check the following:
- vPar version
- OS release date
- serwer firmware
- FC HBA firmware
- FC driver
for compatibility with this version of vPar.

Re: vpar crashed - Fibre Channel Driver has received an unexpected error status code from Firmware
It seems most likely to be a firmware issue with the FC card.
Verify the firmware version of the other FC on the server. It should be the compatibility issue with the firmware version.
#fcmsutil /dev/fcd# vpd
(Obtain the firmware version using the above command and verify)
