vparmodify: Error: Virtual partition krishna not found.

but this partition is visible under the vpdb file...both the Vpars in this nPar are visible in the vpdb file bt i'm unable to do any modifications...need ur help

both the vpars are up...i've logged in via MP...i'm able to work on the vpars...they are 11.11i v1....rp7420....

For most modifications the vPar must be down ...

ya i knw that...when i tried to make one vpar down and tried to modify the boot attribute to manual, i found this error...the i used vparload -all from MON to boot the vpar that i had shutdown...i've configured an ignite server...want to test the installation of 11.11vi on this vpar via network

Not sure about your status.

Are the vPars running or not? Did you already restore files from ignite?
Did you create a golden image to restore from?

i created the image of one of the vpar(which we r talking abt) using make_sys_image command onto the ignite server....via network...only nw i'm going to try to put on the same ignite image on to the vpar...to check the functionality...let me knw what details u need???
