vpars software

Good Day,

I have one rx7640 server and need to create 2 x vPar's, Installed OS is HP-UX VS-OE 11iV3, when i did "swlist -l bundle" i didnt see vpar software, Kindly help me how i can install it, as per HP document its bundle in VSOE.

Make sure the HP Virtual Machines software is not installed, use the DVD media and install vPars.

Thanks for your comments, virtual machine software is installed .Do i need to uninstall virtual machine software or not ?

Dear Shafique,

Starting with vPars A.05.03, the HP-UX 11i v3 vPars software is distributed on the HP-UX 11i v3 Operating Environment media. There is no longer a separate HP-UX 11i v3 Virtual Partitions DVD.

HP-UX 11i v3 vPars software is distributed via the Virtual Server OE (VSE-OE) and the Data Center OE (DC-OE). To install vPars, select the optional software bundle for HP-UX 11i v3 vPars (T1335DC) prior to installing or updating HP-UX.

The vPars software for HP-UX 11i v3 is delivered in the following ways:
â ¢ As a stand-alone product on the HP-UX 11i v3 Application Software DVD.
â ¢ As a product included in the HP-UX 11i v3 Virtual Server OE.
â ¢ As a product included in the HP-UX 11i v3 Data Center OE.

As long as HP Virtual Machines is installed, you cannot install vPars and vice versa.

Now just use the DVD and install vPars.
