VxFS size limit

anyone know if VxFS have size limit?

Error:
The size entered exceeds the allowable limit that can be used with this type of file system. The size has been rounded down to the nearest multiple of 64 Mbytes (the physical extent size) that does not exceed the limit.

Hi,

I'm curious, but just how big were you trying to make the filesystem?

Re: VxFS size limit

To my knowledge vxfs size limits are way up in the stratosphere...

Could you please do a "fstyp -v" on the underlying block device to get the vxfs version used ?

Re: VxFS size limit

Did you specify a block size when you issued the commmand to create the filesystem? Can you show us the command you used please?

"The size has been rounded down to the nearest multiple of 64 Mbytes (the physical extent size) that does not exceed the limit"

So could you post the exact command used and the o/p of "vgdisplay -v vgname"
