I have a 2 node cluster. The top provides a particular process which is as follows.
CPU TTY PID USERNAME PRI NI SIZE RES STATE TIME %WCPU %CPU COMMAND
2 ? 1458 root 152 20 202M 3236K run 115074:10 99.93 99.76 vxsvc
The system is very slow and when the application [Oracle] is shutdown the system is good but still top is as above.
Would there be any effect on the cluster if this vxsvc is disabled.
Please update .

Make sure you are not using VxVM.

Re: vxsvc -
# sam
Go to "Disks and File Systems" - "DIsk Devices"
This will list all the disk devices on the System Stating whether they belong to LVM or VxVM along with the Volume group/Disk group associated with it.
If it show LVM that means you are not using VxVM.
