Warnings during installation of ignite

I am upgrading Ignite to Version C.7.6 on hpux 11.11 rp7420 server, the installation ends with some warning messages:

I have a question in this regard, how can I replace these different version filesets to match the rest? Or I can leave them like this?

I believe the install instructions recommend that you swremove the old version before installing the new version.

Always check you install instructions.

Hi:

You encounter this situation when you try to upgrade Ignite with only a subset of releases (e.g. 11.23 only) but have previously installed an Ignite that supports that plus other releases (e.g. 11.11, 11.23 and 11.31).

The solution is to first 'swremove' the existing Ignite bundle(s) and then 'swinstall'.

To find *all* Ignite bundles do:

# swlist|grep -i ignite

Hi Waqar,

Yes, as per installation doc old version of ignite-ux needs to be remove first before you install latest Ignite-ux Version C.7.6.


swinstall -s /var/tmp/Ignite-UX_ALL_C.7.6.100.depot IGNITE

Just in case you have now both versions installed - remove both and reinstall the new version - just to be safe.
