I noticed a precess called /opt/ifor/ls/bin/i4lmd
which is comsuming quite a lot of CPU time on my 11.0 box.
This process seems to belong to someting called
LicensePower/iFOR from ISOGON Company.
Whatever is this and can I shut this down with
/sbin/init.d/iforls stop ??

Re: what is LicensePower/iFOR
if you do a man i4lmd, you will see this is the license manaer server process, used by the Ifor LicensePower software developed by Isogon.
It is/was use to allow network based licensing for various software such as, but not limited to, Network Node Manager or ITO.
You need to ensure that there are no applications that you are running or wanting to run on the system that will need to use this license server process before stopping it.
