what is nmon and how to use it
Could anyone help me what could be checked using nmon and how to use it effectively for cpu utilization.

There are links at the bottom of that page.
This appears to be a tool developed by IBM originally for AIX. It appears to run on Linux as well now.
I find absolutely NO evidence that this runs on HP-UX.

NMON only works with IBM AIX.

nmon is for AIX and linux only no HP UX support.
