when i use sam -display-moniter type ,and change monitor type to a wrong type

the screen said :out of sync.


how can i turn it back ,while not reboot the system.

Just do a ttytype and export the TERM accordingly.

man ttytype for details.
There is no substitute to HARDWORK

hi,

you can try two things.as i don't have workstation here i will not be able to say correct option.

1.open a telnet session ,run the sam and try to change the monitor type.

or

start xmanager/reflection in one pc.open one telnet session,export display to that pc,run sam and change monitor type.

export DISPLAY=:0.0

eg: export DISPLAY=192.168.200.200:0.0

And you have to try this via a X Term program like Reflection X, etc...
