Where can I find PHSS_15403 OTS-LITE 10.20 patch ?

Hello,

I would like to reinstall an HP-UX 10.20 9000/700 station with some patches needed by our applications.

I found almost all required patches into patch archive directory but several are missing among which PHSS_15403 "OC DM5.03 OTS-LIEt9000 patch for HPUX_10.20".

Unfortunately this patch is required for installing the application as well as for PHSS_27695 "OC DM5.03 Consolidated Patch Sep2002".

Does anybody know where I can find PHSS_15403 or superseeding patch ?

Eek. You might be SOL; HP hasn't supported 10.20 in a while, and the patch doesn't appear in their database anymore. You're not going to want to hear this, but you may have to consider upgrading (preferably to an 11i serious OS; even 11.0 is shortly going off support).

I don't know of any place that holds onto old HP patches, although I know some vendors insist they will support anything regardless of age (Datagate Inc., for example, handles all our old K and D boxes for us), so they might keep some old patch disks lying around.

Archived patches for HP-UX 10.20 are available from these 3 areas:

For HP-UX 10.20 on 700 series workstations: ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/archived_patches/hp-ux_patches/s700/10.X

For HP-UX 10.20 on 800 Series servers:
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/archived_patches/hp-ux_patches/s800/10.X

For HP-UX 10.20 on 700 or 800 Series machines:

However, I did not find PHSS_15403 in any of those areas.

OTS is only mentioned once in relationship to X.25 and no other reference exists. My guess is that there may be some licensing issue with the old software and the patch has been removed. As you are probably aware by now, all support for 10.20 stopped in Dec 2001 so the patches are available only as a courtesy. If you can find the patch on an old 10.20 system, you can probably piece together the components from the /var/adm/sw catalogs and files. This will take a fair amount of work though.
