which different between mcsg-OPS and mcsg??

Hi, Experts

I would like to know what are different MC/SG-OPS and just MC/SG technically that implimentation,concept and so on.

If you know them ,tell me as quickly as you can.

Serviceguard OPS Edition (formerly known as LockManager) is a separate product from Serviceguard itself, and is used when you install and implememnt OPS. It allows for a VG to be active in Shared mode on more than one node at a time.
You have to swremove Serviceguard before installing SG OPS Edition.

Serviceguard is the normal widely used HA software, and allows VG's to be activated in Exclusive mode only.

With ServiceGuard 11.15, this is now known as Serviceguard Extensions for RAC, since Oracle now have RAC for 9i Oracle.
As such, you can now install Serviceguard, and then simply install SGeRAC on top of Serviceguiard.
