why?

I have some problems with restarting the system of hp-ux 11.0B.
The system prompt there are many errors about
I/O,and go into the single user mode automaticlly,and i input the command "init 3"
it always prompts "LVM go into PV[3]" and do
nothing.

Hi,

Try to boot the system without quorom.

Interrupt the system boot, and use this from
the ISL prompt.

ISL> hpux -lq

This will hopefully give some information on
what the boot is doing. Another thing to try
is boot off your mirror disk if you have one.

hey,

Check for all possible hardware errros. Interrupt boot process to get ISL and then try any one of this:

hpux -is or hpux -lm.

Check all PV status, VG status and check all file systems !
