Anyone out there familiar with Windowmaker on HP-UX 11.00?

I've been all over those sites and nothing is listed about my problem.
Can't execute wmsetbg or setstyle or any of those from the WM menu after it loads. Also I have no background. I missing something but I don't know what. I used the 0.80 depot and some of the other apps work.
