Wireshark error

I installed wireshark in default location:
/usr/local/bin
The libpcap in /opt/iexpress/libpcap/lib/hpux32/libpcap.a
When starting wireshark I get error message:
"/usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so:Unable to find library 'libpcre.so'. Killed"
This is RX3600 runing HPUX11.23.
Please HELP.
THANKS ALL.

Re: Wireshark error

Hi,

Did you install all run-time dependencies?

Re: Wireshark error

Robert-Jan,
I downloaded the Binary wireshark from the same website. GTK+ and Glib are in a bundle installed on the server.
I may need something else?
A version for Window That I downloaded from the same website is working fine.

Thanks so much for quick reply.

Re: Wireshark error

Yes you will need to install all run-time dependencies.

atk cairo db expat fontconfig freetype gdbm gettext glib2 gtk+2 jpeg libXft libXrender libiconv libpcap libpng openssl pango pcre perl tiff zlib

there is also a wireshark version in the Internet Express.

Re: Wireshark error

Robert-Jan,
I'll do just that.
For now I just run nettl then use window wireshark to read the output file.
Points will follow.

Thanks so much.

Re: Wireshark error

I would also vote for the one in the Internet Express bundle, You should check your system for the latest libc cumulative patch (IPv6)

http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-7704/ch03s01.html

I'm not sure what the latest for 11i v2 is
