X-server fails to start

I am running HP-UX 11i on C3600. Whenever i boot i come upto the login screen. Whenever i login the screen will go blank and come back to the login screen. In one of the X--logs i have seen that it is failing to start the X display. I was wondering if any body has any insights into it?

Looks like i made a mistake in assigning a wrong DNS (name) server. When i removed the entry from /etc/resolv.conf it seems to work fine again!
