I get the login windows, but after that, the Copyright window appears and stays indefinitely. No further window appears.
I have checked the following:
* No errors at all in Xerrors
* No errors in startlog. Last line shows: "not sourcing //.profile (see //.dtprofile)"
* DNS resolution works ok directly and reversely between client and server.
* dr_dt does not show significant problems
* /etc/securetty
* /inetd.sec
* Other machines in the same netowrk work
* All users in the system show the same problem
* I have tried three different X-Windows software: X-win 32, Netmanage and Reflection
* X programs launched from a telnet window(i.e. xclock) work

Solution
Shalom,
If you see the copyright message that means the font server is at least running.
/sbin/init.d/xfs stop
/sbin/init.d/xfs start
That can sometimes help.
Check with network administration.
When my last job went to VLAN's to make the collision domains smaller, they almos blocked xdmcp broadcast, forcing me to switch to a direct connect methodology.
