Re: XMAN! Another hat. Congrats.

A wee bit of advice. The real big guns have very high(nearly all 100%) rates on point dispersal. Even zero points for useless replies count.

I had to invest an hour going through my list of responses to track down all those I'd previously passed over.

So, nobody has time to make me laugh? How about a 10 minute meeting five days a week? Aaarrrgh!

Item six on the agenda: the meaning of life.
Now, uh, Harry, you've had some thoughts on this.

Harry:
That's right.
Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and, uh, what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts.
One: People are not wearing enough hats.
Two: Matter is energy.
In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive.
Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul.
However this soul does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self observation.
However, this is rarely achieved, owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Bert:
What was that about hats, again?

Re: XMAN! Another hat. Congrats.

So you want to turn this into a humor thread? OK:

A high school English teacher reminds her class of tomorrow's final exam.

"Now class, I won't tolerate any excuses for you not being there tomorrow. I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury or illness, or a death in your immediate family - but that's it. No other excuses whatsoever."

The class smart-aleck in the back of the room raises his hand and asks, "What would you say if tomorrow I said I was suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?"

The entire class does its best to stifle their laughter and snickering. When silence is finally restored, the teacher smiles sympathetically at the student, shakes her head, and sweetly says, "Well, I guess you'd have to write the exam with your other hand."

Re: XMAN! Another hat. Congrats.

Xman,

In the now immortal words of Charlie Brown, ???Good Grief!???

I know it wasn???t that long ago that we had a thread for your first hat (I should know, I???m still nursing the wounds from starting that one! ;-)

What???s the big idea in passing that one up so fast?? Didn???t even give me time to heal properly. I???ll remember that???

On a more serious note, I think I would take SEP???s advice and go back through your response list. It almost seems bad manners for a higher-ranking member to be negligent on their own point assignments. I would try not to be too stingy in the points assignments as well or others may take your lead and do the same to you. If it???s a totally worthless post, then it???s worth nothing, but if they tried and just misunderstood the point of the question it???s still worth 1-3 (based on the suggestions put out on the forum). Just some things that I have noticed in my time watching the forums???

On a less serious note, I can see that you must not have been studying too hard on the HP???UX Administration Certification over the last two weeks (yes, it has only been two weeks since your first hat). You haven???t had time to study with all of the posting you have been doing to this forum! Are you trying to break some forum speed record??

Dude, you need to slow down some. You???re making me look bad ;-P~~

Steven,

Sorry to hear that your whole family is down and out. That definitely makes things tough. Hope you all get better soon.

Thanks for starting this thread. At the rate this young man is going, we???re all going to have to share in starting these for him or we could ware one person to the bone just managing them all!
